Guide

Plan your year with your AI

A whole year of content in one afternoon: give your AI ten topics, let it write 52 weeks of posts in your voice, and watch your calendar fill up. Two routes — the MCP server (fully automated) or a CSV import (no setup).

In three steps

  1. 1

    Connect your channels

Connect LinkedIn, X, Instagram or Facebook in Settings. Your AI only plans for channels that are connected.

  2. 2

    Give your AI the prompt

Describe your topics, your tone of voice and your cadence. Your AI turns that into a complete editorial plan.

  3. 3

    Watch the calendar fill up

Open the Year view in the calendar — every scheduled post shows up as a tile. A year of content at a glance.

Route 1: via the MCP server (fully automated)

With the PostPublify MCP server your AI creates posts directly in your account — no copy-and-paste.

  1. Grab an API key under Settings → API
  2. Add the MCP server to Claude Code:
    claude mcp add postpublify -e PP_API_KEY=… -- npx -y @postpublify/mcp-server
  3. Give your AI the master prompt below.

Master prompt

Plan 52 weeks of LinkedIn content from these 10 topics in my tone of voice: [paste topics]. Write one post per week, keep my voice (casual, concrete, no marketing-speak), and create each one as a scheduled post (Tuesday and Thursday 09:00 Europe/Berlin). Use the PostPublify tools to schedule the posts directly.

Your AI uses list_accounts and schedule_post — see the MCP documentation

Route 2: via CSV import (no MCP)

No MCP setup? Have your AI hand you a CSV and import it with one click.

  1. Give your AI the same planning prompt, but ask for a CSV:

CSV prompt

Plan 52 weeks of LinkedIn content from these 10 topics in my tone of voice: [paste topics]. Give me the result as a CSV in the format date, time, content, platforms — one row per post, Tuesday and Thursday at 09:00, platforms = linkedin. Date as YYYY-MM-DD, time as HH:MM. Wrap any content that contains commas in double quotes.

  1. Open the calendar, click “Import”, then paste the CSV or upload the file. You get a preview, then every post is created.

5 ready-to-copy prompt recipes

Copy, fill in the placeholders, hand it to your AI.

1. Year plan from 10 topics

Here are 10 content topics: [topics]. Build a 12-month plan with 2 posts per week for LinkedIn. Vary the formats (story, how-to, opinion, case study). Output each post with a date, time (Tue/Thu 09:00) and finished text.

2. Repurpose one pillar into 52 variations

Take this single core topic: [pillar]. Derive 52 different weekly posts from it — each from a new angle (beginner question, myth, checklist, tool, mistake, win, contrarian take …). Keep my tone of voice: [tone].

3. 12 monthly themes → weekly posts

Assign a lead theme to each month (12 themes: [list]). For every month create 4 weekly posts that explore the theme from different angles, and add a recap post at the end of each month.

4. Event-driven year (launches & DACH holidays)

Plan the content year around these dates: [launches/deadlines] plus relevant DACH holidays and seasons (Q4 shopping, new year, summer slump). Add 2 lead-up posts and 1 post on the day of each event. Output everything as scheduled posts.

5. Tone-of-voice calibration

Here are 3 of my best posts: [paste]. Analyse my voice (sentence length, word choice, humour, emojis, structure) and sum it up as 5 rules. From now on apply those rules to every post you plan for me.
