PostPublify vs Buffer

Buffer has been one of the best-known social media schedulers for years — polished, reliable and packed with features. Still, it is not the right fit for everyone: pricing is charged per channel in US dollars and grows with every connected account, and there is no dedicated DACH focus. PostPublify starts exactly there — with flat euro plans, a German-language interface and a GDPR-minded setup. This comparison lays out the differences soberly and shows who each tool suits best.

Transparency note: all third-party details (pricing, features) are approximate figures as of July 2026 — provided without guarantee and with no claim to completeness. Please verify current pricing and features directly with the respective vendor. PostPublify prices are net prices, excluding VAT.

GDPR & DACH: what PostPublify does differently

PostPublify is run by a provider based in Germany — with a legal imprint, German contract law and a GDPR privacy policy. Data processing agreements under Art. 28 GDPR are in place with every processor we use; third-country transfers are safeguarded through the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses, and disclosed transparently.

Data minimisation is part of the product: access tokens for your social accounts are stored encrypted with AES-256-GCM, we never store your networks’ passwords, and unreferenced media files are removed by a daily automated cleanup. Cancelling takes one click — including the cancellation button required by German § 312k BGB.

On top of that comes the DACH toolkit: a 2026 holiday and awareness-day calendar for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, best-time benchmarks in German time (Europe/Berlin) and a CSV bulk import that schedules a whole year plan in one go — with all prices in euros.

Frequently asked questions

What is the main difference between PostPublify and Buffer?
The pricing model and the focus. Buffer bills per channel in US dollars — with several accounts that adds up quickly. PostPublify has flat euro plans (Starter at €2.99/month for up to 3 channels, Pro at €19.99 for up to 50) and is built specifically for creators and small teams in the DACH region.
Is PostPublify cheaper than Buffer?
In many setups, yes: scheduling three channels costs €2.99/month on PostPublify — on Buffer the same channels run at roughly $6 per channel per month (as of July 2026, no guarantee). With a single channel and low volume, both tools offer a free plan.
Can I move my content from Buffer to PostPublify?
There is no automatic Buffer import. However, you can prepare scheduled content as a CSV and load it in one step via PostPublify’s bulk import — the format is deliberately simple (date, time, content, platforms).
Which platforms does PostPublify support compared to Buffer?
PostPublify currently publishes to X (Twitter), LinkedIn and Bluesky; Instagram and Facebook are in preparation (Meta review pending). Buffer covers considerably more networks — if you need TikTok or Pinterest today, Buffer is the better fit. For X, LinkedIn and Bluesky, PostPublify offers the leaner route at a flat euro price.
Does PostPublify have analytics like Buffer?
No — analytics are deliberately not part of PostPublify yet and only planned once there is real demand. Buffer is clearly stronger here today. In return, PostPublify includes API and MCP access on every plan, including the free one — Buffer does not advertise an MCP integration (as of July 2026).
